MANY PEOPLE CANCEL OR DELAY FLIGHTS BECAUSE OF THE CORONAVIRUS … But we can still Drive, RIGHT?
Cautionary steps are being taken by countries and people around the world to avoid the spread of Coronavirus. Maintaining good hygiene during these periods is important and keeping it clean and tidy helps prevent spread.
Although authorities are asking us to hide in place and quarantine, experts are urging us to try to get out for exercise and fresh air. And yes, it’s possible to get out of here, even fly, and yet maintain a healthy social distance from others.
Clearly, health in all aspects–including, and in particular, travel –comes first and foremost in these unpredictable times. But social distancing doesn’t have to mean that you live within your four walls for an infinite period of time. Below are some suggestions for ways to get away during the Coronavirus, the AKA COVID-19 pandemic, and the cabin fever makes you fully lose your mind.
The CDC recommends social distancing as a way to “flatten the curve” and slow down the spread of the virus that has taken the world–and the media–by storm. If you’re committed to staying safe and keeping others safe but can’t handle the notion of being locked up in your home for an indefinite period of time, we have some ideas for ways to get away during the pandemic.
And if the only people in your car are your immediate family, it’s probably a good idea to clean the inside of your vehicle. Wipe down your seats and any hard surfaces that come into contact with people’s items, like clothes. When you have babies, you’re going to wonder at all the places inside your car where their little fingers have been. If you have older children, give them the job of disinfecting your car. They definitely need to do something that isn’t about YouTube or Fortnite. Mixing bleach and water or rubbing alcohol is going to do the trick perfectly.
First of all; let’s start with the things you’ll need;
It’s fairly easy to keep your car clean and soap is your best friend when it comes to tackling the work. Any household soap will of course do in liquid form. You can use a soap bar but we’re not suggesting it.
Scrub the surface area for at least 20 seconds before the soap is powered off to do its job.
Wear disposable gloves even when washing your vehicle.
Using bleach-based products can cause severe damage to your electronics, under no circumstances should you use them to clean your infotainment system or steering wheel. Don’t use water either.
To these items use bleach-free wipes and ensure that whoever is using the system has clean hands.
As for the interior, make sure you use a product that will not crack or dry out the leather. Do not go anywhere near a leather seat with hand sanitizer.
Buying/Selling within the UAE
Not only should you take preventative steps with your car, but you should also preventative action when buying or selling a car in the UAE.
What to do if you are bored at home?
One way to relax in this Corona season is driving through the beach is a perfect way to create a fun and relaxing drive. You’re leaving your building, but you’re not going to leave your car. Most open beaches in Dubai and all across UAE are wide enough for limited human interaction. This way you will also be following the social distancing tip from WHO. You’re probably going to have to pay or face a person when you walk through the door. Buying tickets online can help to minimize the touch.
A leisurely drive down the windows and check out the water will do a trick to ease the fever of the cabin. Many beaches outside the Dubai or Abu Dhabi or Sharjah city are usually empty or very thin populated for you to get out of your car and sit on a chair and enjoy the view. This time, try missing those.
What kind of car do we love for this adventure? A truck like some of these in our used cars in UAE classifieds section, in fact! Load the kids in the back seat, and with these extra-large windows and high-up location, they’ll have the absolute best view.
